His interests include modern European history, cultural and intellectual history, collective vs. historical memory, Fascist Italy, Fin-de-siècle Italian Modernism, and the Roma-Sinti Diaspora. He lives in San Francisco with his wife, Stephanie, and his cat, DoDo.
